It was the second crash of a small plane in the area in recent days. A single-engine plane crashed in a vacant field in Highland on Friday. Federal Aviation Administration spokesperson Ian Gregor said neither of the two people on board was injured in that crash.
As of 8 p.m., the plane was still perched atop the building awaiting Federal Aviation Administration investigators to arrive, according to the California Highway Patrol, which is assisting the investigation because the plane landed on a state building.
