Claremont Chamber: 'Thieves Got Away With Nothing'
On Friday, at least one burglar was forced to give up trying to break in to a liquor store.

The number of recent break-ins and burglaries seem to indicate that burglars have made a target out of Claremont’s bustling businesses.
But on Friday, at least one thief was forced to abandon a break-in effort. And that could partially be due to the efforts of the ownership who installed an effective alarm system, chamber officials said.
At 1:40 a.m. Friday, Chamber officials said report that whoever tried to force their way into Rocky Liquor, at 1045 W. Foothill Blvd. was stopped by an alarm before they could get in.

“This time the thieves got away with nothing!” Chamber officials wrote. “This business had the perfect alarm system, it seems.”
In an effort to help businesses better protect themselves, the Chamber put out alerts whenever a crime is committed against one of the city's businesses. A number of break-ins and thefts were reported since the start of the year.
