La Verne Residents Now Able to Pay Water Bills Online
The city decided to offer the service after consistent requests from residents.

It’s now easier than ever for La Verne residents to pay their water bills.
Since March, the city has offered online bill pay using electronic checks or credit cards.
“It’s been going really well,” said Jeannette Vagnozzi, administrative superintendent. “We’ve had minimal glitches.”

Although the launch was considered a soft one, there are already several hundred participants.
“During the initial stages, we’ve been gathering feedback to make sure it’s working properly, and we haven’t had any complaints,” Vagnozzi said. “We’ve had all positive feedback.”

Using the online bill pay is free for La Verne residents, and customers will also have the chance to set up paperless billing, with bills being delivered via email. To get started, residents must go to the city’s website and set up an account. Through the account, customers will also be able to view payment and consumption histories.
It took some time for the city to get the program up and running, due to financial reasons.
“There are costs,” Vagnozzi said. “There were fees with transactions that had to be planned for and accepted.”
Despite the costs, the city decided to offer the service after residents continually expressed interest in paying their water bills online.
“It’s one of those things that’s expected,” Vagnozzi said. “It’s available everywhere else, for other utilities. The number of requests was so significant, we had to listen. Our overall aim is to provide excellent customer service.”
