Police Reach Out to Business Community in Response to an Increase in Burglaries

Claremont Police will be conducting a presentation at the Claremont Chamber of Commerce on how business owners can secure their shops, offices and eateries.

Claremont Police will conduct a presentation at the Claremont Chamber of Commerce aimed at showing local business owners how to secure their shops, offices and eateries.

The event is scheduled for 8 a.m. April 17 in the Chamber office, 205 Yale Ave.

Claremont has experienced a recent increase in business burglaries. The most recent incidents reported by the chamber in a crime alert were attempted beak-ins at Eureka Burger and Hush Serenity.

Several other businesses have been broken into and items taken, according to police reports.
