Who Has Taken Claremont Photo and Video's Sign?

The signs that once hung in front of the photo business went missing last week. The owners, Claremont Police and Chamber of Commerce officials ask it be returned.

Was it a prank? Why would anyone take Claremont’s Photo and Video sign from the front of their business?

The question lingers after the strange theft. Owners and operators of the business say their sign went missing sometime around March 18. It's not been seen since.

A police report has been filed. Officers and the Chamber of Commerce, which keeps close track of its businesses, are asking for the sign to be returned.

“The day I noticed it was gone, on instinct I did check the dumpster,” said Nicole Ennis, who runs the business with owner Anthony Brooks. She also walked around the area near the business, which is on the 200 block of Harvard Avenue. But the sign was nowhere to be found.

Two pieces of the same sign were taking, Ennis said. The top half had the words “Claremont” and was an 18 X 30 and aluminum with black and white vinyl and another 6 X 25 “Photo and Video.”

The sign had hung from a pole that juts out from the building. Customers have told Ennis that some of the local college students have been seen hanging from the pole at night.

Unfortunately, the sign is barely a year old, Ennis said. They are in the process of replacing it, but they would be glad get the original sign back, she said.

Anyone with information on sign’s whereabouts is asked to call the Claremont Police Department at (909) 399-5411.
