The Homecoming of a Marine and Concord High Graduate

Capt. Daniel M. Apodaca returns from deployment in Afghanistan and environs.

The U.S. Marines sent us this marvelous picture of a Concord pilot, Capt. Daniel M. Apodaca, embracing his wife, McKenzie, on the flight line after returning from a deployment in Afghanistan May 15.

Capt. Apodaca is a KC-130J pilot with Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 252.

The squadron is part of the Marine Expeditionary Unit — some 2,200 Marines and sailors who operate from amphibious platforms at sea and support operations such as humanitarian flood relief in Pakistan and providing protection for Libyan rebels fighting the forces of Col. Moammar Gadhafi.
