Artist Reception: "Catching the Light" New Pastels by Ann Gillespie

Artisans Way Gallery on Walden Street in Concord, MA will host a reception for local pastel artist Ann Gillespie as she opens her new collection “Catching the Light” on Saturday, October 15, 2016. From 12 pm- 4 pm, Ann will share her inspirations and the techniques she used to create her vivid pastel landscapes. Light refreshments will be served. In addition, all Fine Art will be discounted 10% from October 15-23.

An award winning artist, Ann Gillespie is continually inspired by the ever- changing New England landscape around her. As a result, her compositions reflect the subtleties of light, color and form, and their relationships to each other.

After receiving a BA in Studio Art from Hamilton College in upstate NY, Ann began her career in graphic design. Today, she balances a successful freelance business in graphic design with her passion for pastel landscapes and fine art. Ann is a member of the Bolton Artisans Guild, The Pastel Society of New Hampshire, Pastel Painters of Maine, and The Newburyport Art Association.
