Authorities ID Concord Woman Struck, Killed On Kirker Pass Road

CONCORD, CA — A 33-year-old woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Concord early Thursday morning has been identified by the Contra Costa County coroner's office as Jenny Carroll. The Concord resident was struck shortly before 5:45 a.m. Thursday on Kirker Pass Road near Olive Drive and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Carroll was apparently walking across the street outside of a designated crosswalk when a southbound 2010 Honda Accord hit her, according to police.

The 52-year-old Pittsburg woman driving the Honda stopped at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the collision, police said.
