Concord Business Scores Awards For Workplace Wellness
Congrats to investment firm AssetMark!

CONCORD, CA – AssetMark Inc., a Concord-based, investment-consulting company, announced this week that the firm received a silver-level recognition in the 2018 American Heart Association Workplace Health Achievement Index for commitment to fostering a workplace culture of health and was recognized as a finalist for the 2018 Bay Area Healthiest Employers Awards.
AssetMark placed for the healthiest-employer contest in the top five of companies, within the 500‐1,499 employee category, based on the firm’s commitment to promoting employee health and well‐being, according to firm officials.
The American Heart Association developed the Workplace Health Achievement Index in conjunction with its CEO Roundtable, a collaborative of more than 40 CEOs nationwide committed to applying approaches to improve employees’ overall health, officials said. The Index uses science‐based practices to evaluate overall quality, comprehensiveness and effectiveness of workplace health programs, AssetMark officials said.

“AssetMark’s over-arching goal is to give advisers the resources they need to make a difference in the lives of investors. Enhancing our employees’ lives through health‐centric programming is an extension of that mission, and we’re honored to receive recognition from the American Heart Association for this work,” said Gary Zyla, AssetMark executive vice president and chief financial officer.
The 2018 Bay Area Healthiest Employers Awards concluded with a celebratory event held in September, featuring a panel discussion on creating cultures of wellness and provided human-resources leaders opportunities to exchange in the best practices for enhancing mental, physical, and emotional well‐being in the workplace, representatives said.
