Concord Cops Hunting Hit-and-Run Driver In Injury Collision
The motorist struck a bicyclist Friday night and took off.

Police are on the lookout for a car that struck and injured a bicyclist on Friday night in Concord, a police sergeant said today. Officers responded to a report of a hit-and-run collision at 10:11 p.m. at the intersection of Detroit Avenue and Laguna Street, Sgt. Mark Souza said.
Souza said the vehicle was turning left from Laguna Street onto Detroit Avenue when it struck the bicyclist, who was crossing Detroit Avenue.
The car fled the scene and the cyclist was transported to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life threatening, Souza said. Souza described the car as a dark-colored sedan, similar to a Nissan Sentra or Honda Accord.

The car has some front-end damage and Souza said the front bumper was seen dragging on the ground. Police are continuing to investigate the case, he said.
