Concord Man Arrested In Murder Of Pacheo Woman
The 58-year-old woman was found shot in a home in unincorporated Martinez over the weekend, deputies said.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA – Pacheco resident Juanita Buechner, 58, has been identified as the victim of a homicide Saturday night in unincorporated Martinez, according to the Contra Costa County coroner's office.
Buechner died at a home in the 1200 block of Santa Fe Avenue after deputies responded there at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
The deputies provided first aid to Buechner but she died, Contra Costa County sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee said.

After the shooting, deputies arrested 47-year-old Anthony Shepherd of Concord on suspicion of murder and being a felon in possession of a gun.
Lee said Shepard is being held on $2.05 million bail.

Detectives are investigating the homicide to determine a motive and the circumstances surrounding it.

A 47-year-old Concord man was arrested and is being held on more than $2 million bail in connection with the weekend murder of a woman in unincorporated Martinez, officials said.
Contra Costa County Sheriff's deputies responded Saturday at about 8:30 p.m. to a "medical police" call of a reported accidental shooting at a residence on the 1200 block of Santa Fe Avenue.
Arriving deputies found and administered medical aid to a 58-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound, the agency said. The fire department arrived and later pronounced the victim deceased.
Her identity was not released.
Anthony Shepherd of Concord was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility for suspicion of murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm in connection with the case, and is being held in lieu of $2,050,000 bail.
Detectives are attempting to determine the circumstances and motive behind the shooting, the department said.
