7 Displaced By Attic Fire In Concord

One person was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene near Salvio Street and Olivera Road, Con Fire said.

CONCORD, CA — Firefighters battled a house fire Tuesday morning that left seven people — four adults and three children — displaced, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District said.

Crews were dispatched just after 8:30 a.m. to the blaze that stared in the attic of a single-story home in the 3100 block of Reva Drive in a neighborhood near Salvio Street and Olivera Road in Concord.

At 8:48 a.m., Con Fire posted a tweet about the fire and asked the public to avoid the area to allow firefighters unimpeded access.

"All occupants are reported evacuated," Con Fire said. "Firefighters actively engaging attic fire ..."

Around an hour later, Con Fire reported that crews had successfully knocked down the residential fire.

"One civilian treated for smoke inhalation by medics at scene," Con Fire said. "Four adults and three children displaced by fire damage."

Crews remained on the scene as of 10:45 a.m.

"Expect congestion in area as firefighters mop up scene," Con Fire said.
