Man Shot Dead In Antioch Home; Roommate Is Person Of Interest: PD

Police believe the fatal shooting on a cul-de-sac of single-family homes may have stemmed from an argument between roommates.

ANTIOCH, CA — One man was shot dead and another man was being interviewed as a person of interest in the fatal shooting Monday morning in an Antioch home, police said. Officers were called around 8:30 a.m. to a residence in the 1900 block of Iron Peak Court and found a 43-year-old man suffering from at least one fatal gunshot wound.

"It was determined there was an argument between roommates," Antioch police Lt. John Fortner said. "During the argument one of the roommates shot the other roommate."

The 43-year-old man was declared deceased at the scene of the shooting on a cul-de-sac of single-family homes off Lone Tree Way. His name was not immediately released by police.
