CONCORD, CA – A man and woman are recovering after being shot Wednesday night at their home in Concord where officers found a large amount of marijuana, police said.
At 9:50 p.m., officers responded to reports of multiple gunshots heard from the 2900 block of Bella Drive.
Police found a 29-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. Both are in stable condition and cooperating with the investigation, police Cpl. Christopher Blakely said Thursday afternoon.

A large amount of marijuana was seized by police from one of the upstairs bedrooms, and Blakely said investigators are looking into whether the marijuana was a possible motive in the case.
"I think it would be unusual for this just to be a random act," he said.

Police are investigating whether the victims know more about their attackers than they've said and if they had a legal reason to have the marijuana, Blakely said.
The victims have so far only described their attackers as either one or two men wearing all black who entered the home, shot the residents and then fled in a dark-colored pickup truck, according to Blakely.
Anyone with additional information about the shooting has been asked to call Concord police Detective Kevin Giacoletto at (925) 671-3030.
