Police Identify Concord Woman Believed Killed By Son, 18
Police have identified a 58-year-old woman found dead in her home after her son is said to have called police to report killing his mother.
CONCORD, CA — A woman found deceased in her Concord home earlier this month was identified as 58-year-old Elizabeth Berry, a spokesman for the Concord Police Department said Tuesday. Officers with Concord PD were dispatched at 9 p.m. Feb. 5 to Berry's home in the 3000 block of Treat Boulevard when her 18-year-old son called 911 and told a dispatcher he just killed his mother, police said.
In an emailed response to Patch, Concord police Cpl. David Petty identified Berry's son as Harrison Mercier.
According to Contra Costa County jail records, Harrison William Mercier is being held in the Martinez jail in lieu of $1.03 million bail.
