Rosie Riveters meet up at the Concord Library this Saturday, May 14th at 1 p.m.

Meet the Rosie Riveters at the Concord Library Saturday, May 14th at 1 p.m.

Come to this FREE event at the Concord Library and meet the women who worked in shipyards in Richmond and Oakland during World War II. Their jobs included welder, draftsman, and electrician. "Rosie the Riveter" is the popular name for women who worked in the defense industry during the war, which comes from a song written in 1942. Join us at this special event and meet these inspiring women who will tell their stories, show their photos, and share their unique perspective of the WWII Home Front.
