Several Concord police officers responded to the campus Wednesday to locate and arrest the 18-year-old.

CONCORD, CA — An 18-year-old student at Olympic High School in Concord was arrested Wednesday for allegedly bringing loaded guns with him to school. According to the Concord Police Department, Alejandro Cortes, who lives in Pittsburg, was taken into custody by several Concord officers after a school resource officer received a tip that a student on the campus might be armed with a firearm.
"He was found to have two loaded handguns on his person," Concord police said Wednesday night in a news release about the incident.
Police investigated but found no evidence of any specific threats from Cortes toward faculty or students, nor did they believe there were any plans for violence at the continuation school on Salvio Street, according to the news release.
