Tuesday Night Chaos: 4 Arrested In Concord For Alleged Robbery, Stolen Vehicle

The incident involving juveniles and 18-year-olds from Pleasant Hill and Oakland ended with a crashed car, police said.

Police arrested four people, including two juveniles, in connection with an armed robbery and subsequent stolen car crash Tuesday night, police said.

Shortly after 9 p.m., two teenagers were sitting in a car on North Sixth Street west of Esperanza Drive when a man approached the car and opened the passenger side door, police said. The man pointed a gun at the passenger and demanded her property.

She complied and the suspect ran to a waiting car, according to police.

The two teens started following the car, which police said was later determined to be stolen out of Oakland. Police said the car was speeding and the driver lost control of the vehicle, crashing it into the front yard of a house in the 2100 block of North Sixth Street.

Multiple people got out of the car and took off running, police said. Several people called police to report the suspects’ descriptions and officers were able to arrest four suspects, including one identified as the armed robbery suspect, according to police.

Police arrested the 18-year-old Oakland resident on suspicion of armed robbery, as well as two juveniles and an 18-year-old Pleasant Hill man in connection with the stolen vehicle and crash.

Police have not yet released the identities of the adults involved in the incident.
