Husband-and-Wife Team Launch D1 Training in Corona, Opening April 14

CORONA, Calif. (April 13, 2026) –D1 Training, a leading fitness enrichment concept utilizing the five core tenets of athletic-based training, will open a new location in Corona at 2785 Cabot Drive, Suite 185, on April 14. The new group fitness facility employs a sports-science backed training regimen led by certified trainers to help people of all ages achieve their sport and fitness goals. The community is invited to celebrate the grand opening on May 16, 2026, with interactive tours, coach and staff meet-and-greets, training insights, giveaways, and local vendor experiences.

D1 Training Corona is owned and operated by local husband-and-wife duo Merritt and Carolyn Robinson, who will join a roster of impressive existing franchisees, including former professional and collegiate athletes. Additional D1 partners include NBA star Chris Paul and Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow.

Merritt's love of sports started at Rice University, where he played football and baseball, and grew through roles with Skyhawks Sports Academy and his own youth sports company, Athletes in Motion. Alongside him, Carolyn, a local college professor, has supported their three children through basketball and cheerleading, gaining firsthand insight into the importance of strength and conditioning. Together, the Robinsons saw an opportunity with D1 Training to turn their passion for athletics into a business that helps local athletes reach their full potential.

Outside of group workouts, D1 Training offers group, semi-private, and one-on-one training with world-class coaches.
