Coronado Public Safety Open House: Save the Date

The city's police and fire departments are asking residents to plan ahead so they can attend.

CORONADO, CA — The 24th annual city of Coronado Public Safety Open House is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 9 at Coronado Fire Department Headquarters, 1001 Sixth St., and Coronado Police Department Headquarters, 700 Orange Ave.

The family-friendly, community event will take place from will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will feature displays by the city's fire, lifeguard and police departments, tours of the police department, an air ambulance display, fire prevention and public safety information, rides on the little fire truck, music, food, rock climbing walls and other children's activities.

In conjunction with the event, a coloring contest is open to children in kindergarten through fifth grade. The entries must be returned to Fire Department Headquarters by 11:30 a.m. the day of the event. Winners will be announced at 12:30 p.m.
