Late Goal Gives Nado Boys Soccer Title Over Parker

Andrew Orozco scores for the Islanders as they join the girls team as section champs.

Sophomore Andrew Orozco scored with less than three minutes remaining Saturday night to lift the Coronado High boys soccer team past Francis Parker 1-0 in the Division IV championship game at Cathedral Catholic.

For the top-seeded Islanders (24-1), it was their first title since 2008 and came on the heels of the girls team's 1-0 victory over Bishop's at the same site. Both teams will now play in the Southern California Regionals.

Orozco took a long throw-in and converted a close-in shot inside the right post to give Coronado its first title since 2008. Ricardo Gonzalez Diaz had the shutout in gosl for Coronado.
