Each year, students in an urban planning master’s class at UCLA led by Professor Paavo Monkkonen support an organization on various research projects. This year, that class partnered with the City of Culver City on topics related to the City’s General Plan Update and will present their findings and recommendations through a two-part webinar. How can we ensure Culver City is a community where everyone can thrive? Find out more from these UCLA students through these two webinars.

On Tuesday, June 9, from 12:30-2 PM, please join the UCLA students for Part 1 in the webinar series: 'Moving Culver City.' Students will discuss how to reduce congestion and change how people travel, how Culver City can make its streets more usable for all (cyclists, pedestrians, drivers), and recommendations for Metro’s Culver City Station and surrounding sites to promote the city's identity and commitment to connectivity and inclusivity.

Part 2 in the webinar series on Thursday, June 11, from 12:30-2 PM, will focus on 'Living Better in Culver City.' Students will share ideas on how to transform the Inglewood Oil Field while considering its economic, community, and physical landscape; how Culver City can improve its relationships with the community and inclusively organize public engagement; and how to house the influx of employees the city will attract as it develops further.
