Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch Returns For Halloween 2021 In Culver City

The iconic extravaganza, with its "Pumpkin Village," has ranked as a family-favorite, Westside tradition for more than 30 years.

CULVER CITY, CA — Roll out the orange carpet! Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch is returning for the 2021 Halloween season.

The pumpkin-centric fest in Culver City, a Los Angeles favorite for more than 30 years, will open Oct. 7 — with pre-sale admissions only — bringing back such boo-tastic traditions as the Pumpkin Village, Tipi Village, pumpkin decorating, food trucks, straw mazes, face-painting, pony rides, live entertainment and, of course, an old-fashioned pumpkin patch.

The family-owned and operated extravaganza will run 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Oct. 7 to Oct. 31 at West LA College, 10100 Jefferson Blvd. in Culver City.

But do note: The 2021 season will be via admission through pre-reserved, online tickets only.

"Things are going to be a little different this season, as we will be operating using an advanced ticket system in order to adhere to city guidelines. We will be releasing tickets for the first half of the month on September 7th, with the second batch to follow in October," organizers said on Facebook.

"Surviving the COVID-19 pandemic through the continued support and spirit of the community, Mr. Bones is bringing back the holiday fun and excitement for 2021," owners said, adding that Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Los Angeles County health guidelines and will be followed at the site.

In 2020, due to the pandemic, Mr. Bones canceled its annual attraction and briefly toyed with the idea of at-home delivery and virtual events, before scrapping those plans, as well.

The pumpkin patch first launched in 1987 on Doheny Drive in West Hollywood, before relocating for larger accommodations a few years ago to the West LA College site.

Admission prices for 2021 are listed below. Specific activities are extra.

  • Mondays – Fridays (until 4:59 PM); $5 (except opening Friday)
  • Fridays (at 5 PM): $10 Adult; $5 Child
  • Weekend #1: $15 General Admission
  • Weekend #2: $20 General Admission
  • Weekend #3 & #4: $25
