1. Culver City Police wrap up arrests in violent shopping center attack on parents (westsidetoday.com) — Culver City police have arrested the final suspect in a violent Aug. 31 robbery at Westfield Culver City, where a couple with two young children was attacked and the father critically injured. Detectives used surveillance footage and cross-city operations to track five suspects, culminating in the Sept. 8 arrest of a San Bernardino man after a brief car chase in Los Angeles.
   

2. Community Disaster Drill – Sept. 24 (culvercitycrossroads.com) — Culver City will run a communitywide disaster drill on Thursday, Sept. 24, from 7–9 p.m., centered on evacuation practice around El Marino Park. Residents nearby may hear the city's Hi-Lo warning sirens and see police, fire, CERT, and CCARES volunteers coordinating, but no action is required beyond staying informed and signing up for CulverAlerts if desired.
   

3. City Council to Return Sept. 14 – Afterschool Fees, AV Fleet Ordinance on the Agenda (culvercitycrossroads.com) — Culver City Council will meet Monday, Sept. 14, to reconsider fee changes for the CCARP afterschool program and debate how to regulate autonomous vehicle fleet services. Parents concerned about program costs and residents interested in AV rules can attend the 7 p.m. regular session in the Mike Balkman Council Chambers at City Hall.
   

4. Westside communities unite for public ceremonies marking 25th 9/11 anniversary (westsidetoday.com) — Culver City residents can join a 9/11 remembrance early Friday morning at Fire Station 1 on Culver Boulevard, where police and firefighters will hold a brief flag and moment-of-silence ceremony. Similar tributes are planned across Santa Monica, Malibu, Pacific Palisades, West Hollywood, and Beverly Hills, offering multiple options for quiet reflection on the 25th anniversary.
