AAII-Silicon Valley: Investment Discussion Group Meeting

Discuss your investment questions/ideas in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere over dinner. The conversation is free; Dinner you have to buy...

The AAII Silicon Valley Investment Discussion Group meetings are a way to discuss investment ideas in a relaxed, small group setting. Participants bring their questions and the group discusses them. There's nothing to buy, no sales pressure, etc. -- just a relaxed, friendly conversation.

Our July discussion featured...

  • Verizon's pending purchase of Yahoo! and what this might mean for Verizon
  • The market hit a P/E of 20 on trailing earnings. Is the market over-valued?? What does this mean going forward??
  • Minimum volatility ETFs and strategies: Who uses them and how??
  • What are the differences between a 401k and a simple IRA??
  • What is a good "rule of thumb" for health care spending in retirement?? What about Long Term Care insurance??
  • What's the difference between Warren Buffett's and Ben Graham's investment approaches??
  • And many more...

If this sounds interesting come join us for our next dinner on the 4th Monday of August, August 22nd, at 6:30 PM at 998 S. DeAnza Blvd., San Jose, CA 95129
