Assistance League of Diablo Valley "Zooms" Toward the New Normal
"…a nonprofit, member volunteer organization dedicated to improving lives in our community through hands-on programs."

On the second Wednesday of each month, more than 200 member volunteers of Assistance League of Diablo Valley attend a chapter regular meeting where they typically make decisions that affect the business of bylaws, budget approval, elections to office and hands-on philanthropic programs.
However, on Wednesday, May 13, the price of gasoline, traffic reports, and parking availability faded from the radar. Online registration via Zoom Webinar, facilitated by Assistance League of Diablo Valley’s Tech Solutions committee members, encouraged more than two hundred chapter members to make history by virtually registering for and attending the monthly meeting remotely, i.e., from their respective homes.
Likewise, these two achievements speak to the core issue: what first appeared to be labor intensive emerged successful after indefatigable pursuit. We will remember our strengths and learn from our frailties in order to confront a pandemic that might lurk in the future.
