Assistance League Thrift Shop’s Vintage Grandmother’s Attic Event

A penny for your thoughts!

The apron clad member volunteers at Assistance League® Way Side Inn Thrift Shop, located at 3521 Golden Gate Way, in Lafayette, maintain that items of quality endure. Throughout the year, they have collected distinctive pieces in preparing for the Vintage Grandmother’s Attic event scheduled to begin on Tuesday, September 24 and continue until the inventory is sold.

Reminiscent of the 80’s, items of interest include baby clothes, toys, framed artwork, old photos, kitchen items, books, dresses, hats, handbags, gloves and jeweled sweaters. Additional artifacts include miniature liquor bottles (empty, of course), as well as cookware, planters and platters. Of special note are a miniature saucepan, candlestick holder, scales, bicycle and bed warming pan, all made from Victorian English copper pennies that were minted in 1899. Not only will you add punch to your wardrobe, you will enhance your living space with these distinctive treasures.

Indeed, items of quality do endure, as do ideas. When you donate to and purchase items at Assistance League Way Side Inn Thrift Shop, you perpetuate the idea of “putting Caring and Commitment into Action,” a statement that remains timeless.
