Bruce Fire Chars 20+ Acres Near Danville, San Ramon
San Ramon Valley Fire Department crews responded to the blaze, which sent columns of smoke to the sky.

DANVILLE, CA — A brush fire that broke out near Danville and San Ramon Sunday evening burned at least 20 acres, according to media reports. The blaze was reported in the 6900 block of Bruce Drive at 4:35 p.m., according to the PulsePoint phone application.
San Ramon Valley Fire Department and Cal Fire crews responded to battle the blaze, which sent columns of smoke to the sky, visible throughout the Tri-Valley region. Read the full story here.
About 30 minutes later, a large fire ignited near Livermore. The Grant Fire burned 640 acres and forced officials to shut down Interstate 580 in both directions for hours Sunday night.
