Elderly Couple Wearing Ski Masks Prompts Middle School Lockdown

DANVILLE, CA — A Danville middle school was placed on precautionary lockdown this morning, town officials said. Diablo Vista Middle School was briefly locked down while police searched for two “suspicious" subjects wearing ski masks and heavy coats seen near the school.

After searching the campus and Diablo Vista Park, police say there was no threat and the lockdown was lifted.

Police said the individuals seen were an elderly couple wearing heavy coats and masks due to the cold temperatures this morning.
