Danville Trader Joe's Robbery Suspects Arrested: DPD
Police say they arrested three teenagers accused of robbing a man at gunpoint at a Danville Trader Joe's Friday.

DANVILLE, CA — Three suspects in an armed robbery that took place Friday at a Danville Trader Joe’s have been arrested, Danville police said.
On Friday at about 4:36 p.m., a man was robbed at gunpoint of a Rolex reportedly worth $40,000, Danville police said in a statement.
The man was robbed upon exiting his car in the parking lot of the Trader Joe’s at 85 Railroad Avenue. Suspects then fled the scene.

No injuries were reported, police said. Danville police teamed up with the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office and other law enforcement for an "extensive" search.
Witnesses told police they saw the suspects drive away in a black Acura with a yellow “Baby on Board” sticker. Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division found the suspect vehicle in Antioch, which led them to the three suspects, authorities told KRON-4 News.

Leon Fountain, 18, of San Jose was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on charges of armed robbery, conspiracy, participating in a criminal street gang, and several weapons violations. He is being held in lieu of a $380,000 bail. The other two suspects are under 18, so their names were not released.
The event remains under investigation. The robbery came as a shock to Danville, which in March was ranked as the “safest city in California” for the fifth year in a row by security consultant Safewise, based on rates of reported violent crime and property crime.
