Graffiti Threatening Danville School Shootings Under Investigation: Police
Police are beefing up patrols and the graffiti, which was discovered on Sunday, has since been removed.

DANVILLE, CA — A cryptic graffiti threat referencing a shooting at two Danville schools this week is not considered to be credible, town officials said. Police said the graffiti was reported by a resident who discovered it on a footbridge near Old Blackhawk Road on Sunday afternoon.
The graffiti said, “Shooting at MV and SRV 10/3.”
Police are investigating the threat and the graffiti has since been removed.

“We will continue to investigate this, but at the same time we are taking it seriously. We plan to have an additional presence at the schools tomorrow, and will be working with the school district to ensure the safety of students and staff at the high schools,” Shields said.

Dear Parents/Guardians and Staff,
We want you to be aware that Danville Police are investigating graffiti found on Sundayon a remote footbridge near Old Blackhawk Road stating “Shooting at MV and SRV 10/3.” There is no evidence to support that this threat is credible. However, because the safety of our students and staff is our utmost priority, we are still taking this threat very seriously. We will be taking precautions to ensure student and staff safety, working very closely with Danville Police and our local law enforcement partners.
