Here are the latest local updates on how the coronavirus outbreak is impacting Danville.

DANVILLE, CA — While Contra Costa County COVID-19 numbers have changed and testing capacity has dramatically increased, the Danville area saw no change in its COVID-19 totals.

As of Thursday 23 Danville residents, or 52 in 100,000 people, and 18 Alamo residents, or 122 in 100,000 people, contracted COVID-19, according to the county.

This week brought some cheery news for couples waiting to tie the knot: Contra Costa County will now allow virtual weddings.

  • 1,234 people tested positive for COVID-19 (+145 since last week), including 24 in the past 24 hours
  • 14 patients were hospitalized (-3 since last week)
  • 36 COVID-19 patients died (+7 since last week)
  • 26,854 people were tested (+10,427 since last week)
  • 1,034 patients have recovered (+115 since last week)
