Sexual Misconduct Charges Filed Against Karate Studio Owner
The man, who owns Danville Karate International, targeted a student, police said.

DANVILLE, CA — The owner of Danville Karate International is facing three felony charges related to sexual misconduct with a student, the Danville Police Department said Monday morning. Ramon Lyndon Pruitt, 63, was arrested Friday afternoon in Oakland after officials obtained a warrant, according to police and jail records.
The Danville Police Department and Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office began investigating Pruitt Jan. 14 after receiving a report that he acted inappropriately with a student, police said. He faces three felony charges of lewd and lascivious acts with a child, police said.
Pruitt was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility, where he is held in lieu of $500,000 bail. He was set to appear in court Monday morning, jail records show.
