Matching Donations Needed: Meals on Wheels Serving Danville

DANVILLE, CA — Meal deliveries are a lifeline to vulnerable seniors, and Meals on Wheels Diablo Region has been meeting this need for more than half a century.

Because of coronavirus, the needs and challenges are greater than ever. Seniors who previously ventured out are staying home. And seniors who previously volunteered are social distancing.

Meals on Wheels Diablo Region has an opportunity to receive a donation of $5,500 from Republic Services and an anonymous donor. But, there's a catch — it's a matching donation, so the reliable charity is seeking donations, large and small, from the community that add up to $5,500 so that it may receive the full matching offer.

The deadline for the matching donation is June 15. Here is a link to make a donation, so that your gift is basically doubled.
