New Brewing Company Debuts in Danville
Residents are encouraged to stop by to enjoy the nightly "Hoppy Hour."
DANVILLE, CA — East Bay beer fans will rejoice because Danville now has a new spot for locals to chug some suds. The Danville Brewing Company celebrated their grand opening Tuesday night. The eatery is owned by Alamo residents Marcus and Sara Maita and Randy and Colleen Negi of Danville.
“We all live locally and love historic Danville,” Maita said. “When the [Danville] hotel was being built we felt it was the perfect location for a restaurant / brewery.”
The brewery occupies a 3,800-square-foot space and boasts a full menu and cocktails like the 680 Martini that give a nod to local landmarks. “Hoppy Hour” is offered Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The beers are craft brewed on site with a custom 10-barrel system. All of the menu items, down to the mayonnaise, are made from scratch.

The owners worked to support local businesses during the process of designing and launching the restaurant.
"We use a local web designer, florist, audio-video technology company and a woodworker, who created our flight trays and shelving, basque bakery, etc.," Maita said.

According to Maita, all of the owners are very passionate about supporting the community.
“We participated in the 'Have a Ball Tournament' fundraiser last week,” Maita told Patch. “We have supported many of the local schools, and we hosted a private party for Rancho Romero. We are hosting a 25 percent give back with 'Pledge to Humanity' on October 12.”
The Danville Brewing Company is located at 200 Railroad Ave.
