Power Outage Affects Hundreds In Danville Amid PG&E Maintenance
PG&E is installing equipment designed to prevent wildfires, KGO reported.

DANVILLE, CA — Hundreds of Danville households powered by Pacific Gas and Electric Company were without power Thursday as the utility performs maintenance ahead of wildfire season, KGO reported.
Customers in Danville and Orinda have received notices informing them of the planned work from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., as residents shelter in place to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, the station reported.
PG&E said it received many complaints and apologized for the inconvenience, but said workers must install safety equipment designed to prevent wildfires, KGO reported.

Nearly 230 Danville households and six Orinda households were without power Thursday morning, according to PG&E's website.
