Public Outcry Delays Reopening Of Danville Farmers Market
The farmers market came up with a plan to sell essentials only, but community criticism delayed the reopening.

DANVILLE, CA — The Danville Farmers' Market did not reopen this weekend as planned after the public voiced concern about operating the market during the shelter-in-place order.
The Pacific Coast Farmers' Market Association announced Friday that it would not reopen Saturday as planned, though it spent two weeks planning to scale back the farmers market so merchants could sell only essentials, the town said in a statement. The town shared the public's comments with the association, which called off the reopening.
The town said it will continue working with the association to put safety measures into place.
