Sanitary District Selects New Board President and Pro Tem

The Central Contra Costa Sanitary District (CCCSD) Board of Directors recently appointed Tad J. Pilecki as Board President and Paul H. Causey as President Pro Tem. Their one-year terms begin on January 1, 2016.

Mr. Pilecki is the Board Liaison to Pacheco and the City of Martinez. He was elected to the CCCSD Board in November 2012. He is a registered Professional Engineer with more than 35 years of experience in the wastewater field. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Sanitary Engineering (Loyola), a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (UCLA), and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering (UCLA). He has been a resident of Martinez since 1991.

Mr. Causey is the Board Liaison to Alamo, the Town of Danville, and the City of San Ramon. He was elected to the CCCSD Board in November 2012. He is a registered Professional Engineer with more than 45 years of water and wastewater utility management experience. He holds a Master of Engineering Degree (U.C. Berkeley) and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Santa Clara University). He has lived in Walnut Creek since 1993.

The CCCSD Board also made 2016 appointments to its standing committees:

· Administration Committee: David R. Williams (Chair) and Michael R. McGill.

· Engineering and Operations Committee: Paul H. Causey (Chair) and Tad J. Pilecki.

· Finance Committee: Tad J. Pilecki (Chair) and Paul H. Causey.

· Real Estate, Environmental and Planning Committee: Michael R. McGill (Chair) and James A. Nejedly.

The CCCSD Board meetings are open to the public and typically held on the first and third Thursday of each month at 2 p.m. in the Board Room at 5019 Imhoff Drive, Martinez.
