You can't help falling in love with this rendition of the national anthem. Trust us.
DANVILLE, CA — "Jailhouse Rock" has taken on new meaning for the quarantined residents of Shady Creek Place in Danville.
Each week neighbors gather to sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" and this week an Elvis impersonator put on a show for the neighbors, gathered in the street and in their yards.
This weekend members of the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District tagged along and parked an engine along the side of Shady Creek Place. Town councilmember Renee Morgan emceed the event.

Elvis performed in front of an American flag over a garage. Neighbors looked on with their hands over their hearts and masks over their faces. Some brought pets and lawn chairs.
"We continue to be a strong community because of neighborhoods and citizens like you!" firefighters wrote.

Longtime Danville resident David Miller said the idea came to him after seeing news reports about neighbors heading outside at a particular time to honor first responders. He recalled playing a Whitney Houston rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" out of his stereo at a car show and being amazed at the hundreds of people who came to stop, take off their hats, place their hands over their hears and honor of the anthem.
He merged the two experiences and started playing the anthem from his garage every Sunday at noon. Neighbors seem to appreciate the opportunity to honor first responders and get out of the house, Miller said.
Last week Sacramento police officer and Elvis impressionist contact Miller to see if he could stop by and sing the anthem, Miller said.
Of course, Miller agreed. It was a hit, he said.
This newfound neighborhood tradition has got us all shook up.
