The man was arrested on suspicion of charges related to trespassing and obstructing an officer, police say.

DANVILLE, CA — A man was arrested last week after walking through Danville yards and leading police on a foot pursuit, according to the Danville Police Department. Christopher Gary, 39, was arrested on suspicion of two charges related to trespassing, a charge of obstructing an officer and a charge of violating his probation, police say.

Danville police were called to the 100 block of Wembly Drive shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday after receiving a report of a suspicious person. Police said they received several more calls of a shirtless man walking through yards and a call from an Everett Place resident who said a man was in a backyard.

Officers said they found Gary, a transient, in the front door of a home on the 300 block of Everett Drive. Gary led officers on a brief foot pursuit, police said.
