Whiz Kid: Zachary Skeggs
Each week we highlight local kids and teens and their accomplishments. This week meet Zachary Skeggs who has tenacity and dedication to spare.

Name/Age: Zachary Skeggs, 11 years old.
School: Homeschooled
Accomplishment: Zachary recently attained the level of Double Ironman at Red Zone Training in San Ramon after attending class five days a week for two months straight. He is the first student to achieve the Double Ironman level at the youth fitness facility. That accomplishment equates to 43 hours of running, climbing, jumping, throwing, sliding, rolling, pulling, pushing and crawling, according to his coaches, Jason Owings and Jason Wong.

Key to Awesomeness: Zachary uses his natural dedication and determination to achieve his goals. He says he set a goal of attending Red Zone every day for two months, and was determined to see it through.
That fact that he finds his classes so much fun didn't hurt either!

"Red Zone Training classes are hard work, but I have so much fun doing it, it doesn't feel like work at all," he says.
"Doing Red Zone every day is making me better for my other sports," says Zachary. "At the end of class I feel fitter, stronger, healthier, and my brain works better."
Zachary is currently working towards his next goal of attending every day for three months straight.
Red Zone Training is at 2411-I Old Crow Canyon Rd., in San Ramon, next to Diablo Gymnastics, and near Splash Swim School. For more information, call (925) 954-5050, or visit their website.
