"From Cows to Concrete" opens Oct. 27. Tickets on sale for a great evening at the Woodland facility!

WOODLAND, CA – More than a dozen artists from Sparrow Gallery in Sacramento will be showcased in a new art exhibit, From Cows to Concrete, at the California Agriculture Museum. This exquisitely curated exhibit highlighting agricultural landscapes—and cows—will run Oct. 27 through Dec. 13.
The exhibit opening reception on Thursday, Oct. 27 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. will feature the newly released book From Cows to Concrete: The Rise and Fall of Farming in Los Angeles. During a discussion of the book, authors Rachel Surls and Judith Gerber will take a regional look at how agriculture molded California. After the discussion, the authors will be available to sign books that will be available for purchase.
Enjoy hosted wine and appetizers while you mingle with the artists who created this fascinating exhibit and learn about the surprising agrarian history of California from the women who literally wrote the book.
