Day 7 in the 10 Days of Happiness: Donate Money According to Your Pocket, Even if it's a Dime
People who give from the heart have an increased level of happiness. When it comes to donations, a little drop of water can turn into an ocean.
We all realize to some extent the benefit a donation has on its recipient. We have seen it all over, from great schools to first-class hospitals to great entertainment brought to life through the wonderful generosity of individuals. The compassion is even more impressive in cases of disaster, whether it's natural or man-made.
But what about the donors? What kinds of benefits do they get out of giving
Life Coach Pauline Haynes says “it is a matter of the heart.” People that gives from the heart definitely have an increased level of happiness. There is also a universal “magic” that gives back in abundance to those who give freely.

“For nearly two decades of working as a financial coach for thousands of people, I've witnessed time and time again that the fastest way to feel rich is to give more -- and that those who give more become rich faster. I don't think it's a coincidence. Research shows definitely that people who give of their time and money to help others live longer, happier, and wealthier lives” observed David Bach.
Other research confirmed that people give not because they are wealthy but they became wealthy because they give. And yes, you do not have to be very rich to give. Everyone can learn to give within their means, even if that means a dime. So next time you are at a checkout, passing one of those red Salvation Army buckets or registering a domain name, and have the chance to leave a few pennies, take advantage of it. It does add up and you will be happier.
