Toffee Bars: Inspired by the UC Davis Bookstore
Recipe for UC Davis Coffee House Toffee Bars.

When I was working at UC Davis back in the 90's, one of my favorite things to do was take a break and walk over to the Coffee House to buy a latte and a sweet treat. I would always keep my fingers crossed that it was a Toffee Bar day.
Ahhh... the delicious Toffee Bar -- soft and chewy with just the right amount of chocolate chips and walnuts. Sigh....
Did you know there is a Coffee House Cookbook? It was first published in 1985. You can still purchase the orginial version, as well as a new updated version, at the or on Amazon.com. I bought one long ago, just for this recipe, but the whole book is really great. If you're a fan of CoHo foods, you will love this cookbook. It would also make a great gift!
You won't believe how quick and easy these are to make! I bake these all the time for my kids, and it is often what I choose to bake when I need to take something to an event. You can cut them into any size squares you want, but when I bake them for my family, we like them large! Soooo good with a glass of milk.

I hope you will try these soon. I know you will love them as much as we do. Click HERE for the recipe. Happy Baking!
