Merryhill Preschool in Davis Donates to LLS and Toys for Tots
Students presented a check donation and gifts to representatives from the nonprofit organizations
On Dec. 13, students at Merryhill Preschool in Davis presented a check donation of more than $300 to a representative from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, as well as a donation of 20 toys to a representative from the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots program. Over the past month, students held a penny drive to collect monetary donations to benefit children with blood cancer, as well as a toy drive to collect gifts for local children in need. Through these initiatives, students learned the importance of giving back to others in need, especially during the holiday season.
