Reminder: New Davis Parking Permits On Sale Now

Permits will be sold through Sept. 2 and again Sept. 6 and 7.

DAVIS, CA – Announcement from the Davis Police Department:

Have you purchased your parking or commuter permit yet for the new year?? We have a brand new parking system COMING SOON……

A new Virtual Parking Permit System technology for Residential and Commuter Permits is in the works. It will include License Plate Recognition versus the current “placard or sticker” permit system. That is why your new placard/stickers have an expiration date of January 31, 2017.

We will be implement this new technology by the end of 2016 and we will assisting all of you that have purchased permits with the transition to the new system prior to January 31, 2017. You are still paying for the entire permit year (9/1/16-8/31-17) and will be receiving the full year of permit privileges, you just won’t have to mess with the placard or sticker after January.

We will be sending you all the details via email and on social media on how it works and how to register your license plate. More details will be posted on our webpage as we get closer to the release of the new permit system http://cityofdavis.org/city-hall/police-department.

Permits can currently be purchased at the Davis Police Department through September 2 from 9 am to 5 pm at 2600 5th Street Davis and again on September 6 and 7th.
