Yolo-Solano Spare The Air Alert Issued
Residents within the Yolo-Solano Air Quality Management District are asked to reduce their driving during a Spare the Air Alert.
DAVIS, CA — The Yolo-Solano Air Quality Management District issued a Spare The Air Alert for Tuesday, Aug. 13. Residents within the district, which includes all of Yolo County and portions of Solano County such as Dixon, Rio Vista and Vacaville, are asked to reduce their driving Tuesday by carpooling, taking public transit, biking, walking or telecommuting if possible.
"Calm winds, a high pressure ridge and temperatures near one hundred degrees will increase the risk of ground-level ozone tomorrow," YSAQMD officials said. "The AQI forecast for Tuesday is 129 for the Sacramento region and 100 for Yolo-Solano."
