Adam Day Reappointed to 22nd DAA in Del Mar
Jerry Brown reappointed Adam Day to the 22nd District Agricultural Association on Tuesday.

Alpine resident Adam Day was reappointed today to the 22nd District Agricultural Association, commonly known as the San Diego County Fair Board, by Gov. Jerry Brown.
The governor also appointed Stephen Shewmaker, of San Diego, to his first term on the board, which runs the fairgrounds and oversees the annual county fair.
Day, 43, has served on the panel since 2008. The former staffer for Supervisors Greg Cox and Dianne Jacob is now assistant tribal manager for the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation.

Shewmaker, 62, is president of Cubic Transportation Systems.
Day, a Republican, and Shewmaker, a Democrat, do not receive compensation. Senate confirmation of their appointments is not required.
