Chef Giuseppe Ciuffa's Salads Highlight the Best of Summer Produce
The fresh flavors of summer are available at Chef Giuseppe Ciuffa restaurants in La Jolla, CA – Museum Cafe and Caroline’s Seaside Cafe. Now is the perfect time to enjoy satisfying, green, leafy salads filled with all the great produce the season has to offer such as ripe tomatoes, papaya and strawberries.
Standing behind his mantra: “Mangia Bene e Vivi Meglio,” which means, “Eat Well and Live Better,” Giuseppe takes the best produce available throughout San Diego County, and makes the ingredients shine in every dish.
“Our salads are only made with the freshest ingredients to ensure they’re full of flavor,” said Chef Giuseppe Ciuffa. “The warmer weather often leads diners to choose salads, but they shouldn’t have to compromise on great taste.”

At his restaurants, he showcases colorful and crisp salads for a perfect summer meal. A favorite amongst regulars at Museum Cafe, the Mexican Shrimp and Grilled Papaya Salad features local romaine hearts, baby greens, organic feta cheese and salt roasted almonds. The salad is then topped off with succulent Mexican shrimp; the perfect combination of greens, protein, healthy fats and dairy. At Caroline’s Seaside Cafe, his White Albacore Tuna Salad sits on a bed of organic greens, romaine lettuce, raw vegetables and is drizzled with a house made balsamic vinaigrette.
Salads at both locations are made to order, ensuring freshness and with attention on freshness from the kitchen. Only the best seafood and meats are used to top them off.
