Judge Rules on Fairgrounds Proposed Expansion Environmental Report

The Sierra Club challenged the fairgrounds' proposal to expand.

A Superior Court ruling will require a revised environmental report on the proposed expansion of the Del Mar Fairgrounds, according to a U-T San Diego article.

The 22nd District Agricultural Association—which runs the fairgrounds—was challenged by the Sierra Club on several points in its environmental report. The board's president told U-T San Diego an updated report should be concluded "within a few months" while a Sierra Club attorney said the ruling "was anything but good news for the district."
